Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in Indianapolis is seeking a Life Skills Development Coordinator to lead educational and vocational opportunities for clients, including work readiness, life skills, and continuing education. You will develop curricula, IEPs, and professional development plans for clinical programs to enhance service quality.

Responsibilities include coordinating classes and resources, forming external partnerships, and generating reports for leadership and funding

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in education or social work; master’s preferred.
Experience leading educational groups and working in human services is strongly preferred.
Ability to research and analyze documents; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee life skills and educational opportunities for clients.
Create IEPs for clients addressing educational needs, GED prep, and college enrollment.
Provide classes for financial restoration, stress management, and resume building.
Coordinate scheduling, outreach, assessments, and staff/volunteer training.
Attend meetings, arrange transportation to job fairs, and stay updated on educational trends.
Lead learning opportunities and maintain databases for evaluation and tracking.
