Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in Indianapolis seeks a Life Skills Development Coordinator to create and oversee educational and vocational opportunities for clients, focusing on work readiness and academic success. You will develop curricula, plan professional development, and support clinical programs while building partnerships with community education groups.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or social work required; master's preferred.
Experience in human services strongly preferred.
Excellent communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

Develop and oversee life skills and educational opportunities for clients (interviewing skills, nutrition, wellness, family life, relationships).
Develop IEPs for clients to address educational needs (GED prep, class enrollment, testing, CEUs).
Provide classes for financial restoration and stress management.
Schedule, outreach, assessment, testing, and staff/volunteer training responsibilities.
Attend meetings and coordinate transportation to job fairs for clients.
