Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light Center in Indiana is seeking a Life Skills Development Coordinator to create and oversee educational and vocational opportunities for clients, including work readiness and life skills. You will develop IEPs, plan curriculum, and ensure quality improvements across clinical programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in education or social work, strong communication, and the ability to work evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or social work required; master’s preferred.
• Experience leading educational groups and working in human services.
• Ability to research and analyze documents; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Develops life skills and educational opportunities for clients (interviewing skills, nutrition, wellness, relationships).
• Create IEPs to address educational needs (GED prep, classes, CEUs).
• Provide classes on financial restoration and resume development.
• Coordinate scheduling, outreach, assessments, and staff/volunteer training.
• Attend meetings and support clients at job fairs and events.
• Lead learning opportunities to support clinical programming and tracking.
