Job summary

The New York Botanical Garden (NYBG) is seeking a Learning Designer and LMS Specialist to design engaging, outcomes-driven learning experiences and to manage the Canvas LMS for Continuing Education.

You will collaborate with staff and instructors to develop and maintain online and hybrid courses, provide training and support, and ensure accessibility and high-quality learning outcomes for a broad audience.

Qualifications

• Experience in instructional design within educational or museum contexts.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with diverse constituencies.
• Experience delivering training and support in multiple modalities.
• Familiarity with educational technology and data management.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with staff to identify learning technology needs.
• Lead Digital Learning staff and coordinate with IT for system administration.
• Create engaging, outcomes-driven learning experiences for asynchronous courses.
• Oversee Canvas administration including user and course management, testing, reporting.
