Job summary

Unity Environmental University is seeking a Learning Designer for its Pineland Farms New Gloucester campus. You will design engaging online courses and micro-credentials, collaborate with faculty, and ensure ADA-compliant, accessible learning experiences.

You will work with Canvas LMS, apply instructional theories, and stay current with edtech trends to enhance student learning and outcomes. Hybrid/online modalities are supported.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead multiple projects with varying deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication with diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Distance Education faculty to design innovative online courses and micro-credentials.
• Serve as an expert resource for Canvas LMS and related tools.
• Apply instructional theories for effective online course designs.
• Design online content for the Canvas LMS.
• Integrate educational technologies to improve teaching and learning.
• Develop trainings on instructor and student support materials.
• Coordinate administrative aspects of course and credential development.
• Consult with faculty and leadership on learning design processes.
• Provide design services to plan and evaluate course and program designs.
• Ensure accessibility following universal design and ADA standards.
• Manage schedules for course and credential development.
• Assist faculty in navigating Canvas LMS with Learning Technology staff.
• Oversee design processes aligning content to learning outcomes.
• Lead design revisions and outcome-based improvements.
