Job summary

Dallas ISD is seeking a SPED Self Contained Teacher for grades K-5. You will collaborate with families and ARD committees to develop and implement IEPs, and provide specialized instruction tailored to students with disabilities within a campus setting.

The role requires adapting curricula, recording progress, and maintaining compliance with district policies and state regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position with regular attendance at the worksite.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ARD process and IEP goal setting.
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Knowledge of laws, regulations, practices pertaining to education.
• Ability to document and prepare reports clearly.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with students, parents, and ARD Committee for IEPs.
• Implement instructional programs for assigned students.
• Plan effective instructional strategies for diverse learners.
• Modify curricula in collaboration with general education teachers.
• Attend ARD meetings and communicate educational programs.
