Job summary

Rite of Passage in Nashville is hiring a Juvenile Detention Coach Counselor at the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center. You will provide safety, supervision and care for youths awaiting trial, combining education, counseling, medical and recreation services to support growth and development.

The role requires a high school diploma, being at least 21, the ability to pass background checks and TB, drug tests; salary is $20.50–$21.50 per hour with four hours of guaranteed overtime per pay

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 21 years old.
• Pass criminal background check, drug screen, TB test, and abuse registry checks.
• 1 year of experience with troubled or at-risk populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safety and security around-the-clock.
• Care for physical, personal and health needs through mentoring and skill development.
• Monitor and document behaviors and activities.
• Assist with educational, social, athletic and recreational activities.
• Collaborate with staff to meet each youth's treatment plan goals.
