Job summary

Rite of Passage is seeking a Maintenance Worker at the Davidson County Juvenile Detention Center in Nashville, Tennessee. The role focuses on keeping facilities safe and well-maintained, performing painting, lighting, plumbing, and floor care, and supporting routine upkeep for a youth-focused environment.

Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM. Required are a high school diploma, 1 year of maintenance experience preferred, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass background

Qualifications

• High school diploma required or higher.
• 1 year of general residential maintenance experience preferred.
• Valid state driver’s license and clean driving record (past 3 years).
• Able to pass criminal background clearance, drug screen, TB test, and abuse registry check.
• Able to prepare written reports and correspondence.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Able to work at least 40 hours per week with possible overtime.

Responsibilities

• General building maintenance: painting, changing light bulbs, minor plumbing, and floor care.
• Complete facility walk-throughs and coordinate with service vendors.
• Respond to work orders in a timely manner.
