Job summary

The role requires collaboration with classroom teachers, conducting assessments, developing behavior plans, leading IEP meetings, and ensuring high-quality instruction for diverse learners in an inclusion setting.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of State Standards and Common Core Standards.
• Experience in full room inclusion or Co-Teaching in a Resource Room.
• Growth-focused coaching environment with frequent observations and progress monitoring.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Word and Outlook (Microsoft Office).
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to pass FBI/BCI background checks.
• Experience in a multi-cultural setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with classroom teachers to interpret abilities and needs of students.
• Conduct diagnostic assessments for instruction.
• Conduct functional behavior assessments and implement improvement plans.
• Facilitate IEP meetings and write goals/objectives.
• Support student achievement and school culture goals.
• Apply research-based practices to daily planning and instruction.
• Integrate culturally responsive teaching into daily lessons.
• Serve as advisor for a group of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
• Assist in planning non-instructional activities and events.
