Job summary

KEC Beltline is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist (ParaPro) to work under the supervision of the Principal/Administrator and the special education teacher. The role supports students with IEPs, assists with instructional materials, data collection, and collaboration with related services professionals in a 182-day term.

The position requires CPR certification or willingness to obtain it, and candidates must meet education requirements.

Qualifications

• Completed at least 2 years of study at an institution of higher education.
• Obtained an associates or higher degree.
• High school graduate.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the educational and social development of students under the direction and guidance of the classroom teachers.
• Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and monitor student progress.
• Provide support for individual students inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation in activities.
• Collaborate with related services staff (speech, social work, OT/PT).
• Maintain student records with classroom teachers.
