Job summary

Dayton Elementary is seeking a Paraprofessional to assist teaching staff in delivering specially designed instruction for students with disabilities. You will provide individualized and group support, data collection, and behavior management under the supervision of a licensed teacher, in a 9-month program.

Responsibilities include aiding students with daily living, academic tasks, and assistive technologies; experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders and related training is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED, First Aid training preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with activities as assigned by the teacher.
• Support instructional programs and lessons under supervision.
• Record progress and report to certified staff.
• Assist with personal care and behavior management per IEP requirements.
• Transport students to programs as needed.
