Job summary

Independent Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician–Infusion and Replenishment to support infusion patient fulfillment under a licensed pharmacist. The role focuses on infusion patient orders and maintaining pharmaceuticals, equipment, and supplies. Requires CPR?

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred.
• One year of experience in a high-volume pharmacy or equivalent setting required.
• Prior institutional setting experience with pumps, IV equipment, home infusion, or product purchasing preferred.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs.
• Experience with an online claims processing system preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication with healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Maintain patient records, including infusion orders.
• Coordinate infusion patient appointments when necessary.
• Set up, package, and label medication doses.
• Process equipment and supply orders.
• Package and ship specialty prescriptions, infusion orders, returns, and equipment for maintenance.
• Maintain infusion pump maintenance logs and coordinate replacements.
• Coordinate stock infusion supplies with nursing support.
• Assist Pharmacy Buyer with inventory processes and organization.
• Assist in replenishment of incoming specialty pharmacy stock.
• Assist in physical inventory.
• Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical safety hazards and drug handling.
• Ensure separation of duties in purchase, replenishment, inventory and payment.
• Notify Pharmacist staff of dispensing, storage, packaging issues.
• Rotate stock and packaging materials.
• Maintain cleanliness of the space.
