Job summary

Option Care Health, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support licensed pharmacists by preparing and processing prescriptions, maintaining equipment, and ensuring accurate patient information for planning.

This role emphasizes accurate dispensing, quality assurance, and patient-facing service in a fast-paced environment. The position covers inventory management, site maintenance, and basic data entry across applicable systems, with emphasis on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 0–6 months of relevant experience.
• Licensed or registered within 6 months (if required by state).
• Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire.
• Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience preferred.
• Proficient in basic math and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Review/validate basic prescription refills and process per policy.
• Assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
• Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning and report defects.
• Collect basic patient information for planning materials, equipment and prescriptions.
• Respond to basic patient questions to support a positive experience.
• Receive and verify quantities of incoming supplies; stock and track inventory.
• Schedule routine patient deliveries and maintain clean, organized workspace.
