Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania seeks an Income Maintenance Caseworker for the Perry County Assistance Office to determine eligibility for financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, and related programs. After IMSTP training, you will handle interviews, data entry, and case documentation in a structured office setting.

You will work a 37.5-hour week with 8:30–5:00 hours, some overtime and travel may be required, and telework may be available part-time.

Qualifications

• Four years of experience in interviewing or work requiring data analysis, OR a bachelor's degree, OR any equivalent combination.
• Applicants may meet educational requirements within 3 months of graduating.

Responsibilities

• Eligibility Review: evaluate applications and determine program eligibility (financial assistance, Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, Nursing Home Care, Waivers).
• Customer Interviews: conduct phone and in-person interviews to gather information.
• Policy Application: interpret and apply state and federal regulations for accurate decisions.
• Data Entry: enter information into systems and perform calculations for case processing.
• Case Documentation: write clear case comments to record changes and decisions.
• Deadline Management: complete all work within required timeframes.
