Job summary

Larimer County Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Support Specialist I or II to join the Benefits and Community Support Division. You will manage a large caseload, locate parents, establish paternity, and enforce orders using legal and administrative actions, with strong focus on accuracy and records in ACSES.

Qualifications

• Must have strong analytical thinking and ability to apply policies.
• Experience with databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to locate parents and assets using investigative methods.
• Familiar with court research and IV-D child support processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of 100–600 child support cases.
• Locate parents and assets using tools and databases.
• Establish paternity and initiate child support orders.
• Analyze cases to determine next steps in legal/administrative actions.
• Conduct legal and court research across jurisdictions.
• Document all actions in ACSES.
