Job summary

Hope the Mission is seeking an Employee Engagement & Retention Specialist to connect our people with the mission from recruitment through offboarding, ensuring a mission-centered employee experience. The role bridges HR operations with workforce development, culture building, and retention initiatives across program sites.

The specialist will own onboarding, orientation, and early-tenure support, partner with HR leadership on role-tiered onboarding, and drive data-informed retention strategies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Organizational Development, Communications, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in human resources, employee engagement, organizational development, or workforce development.
• Experience facilitating groups, meetings, or trainings.
• Proficiency with HRIS; experience with ADP Workforce Now preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact across all stages of the employment lifecycle.
• Maintain onboarding and orientation materials for consistency and mission alignment.
• Own orientation and ensure it connects employees to the mission from day one.
• Conduct 30-, 60-, 90-day check-ins and document outcomes to guide interventions.
• Administer stay surveys and analyze results to inform HR leadership.
