Job summary

TVCCA Housing Programs seeks a Client Services Navigator to prevent homelessness by guiding households from crisis to safe, stable housing in under 45 days where possible. You’ll assess needs, negotiate with landlords, coordinate financial support, and manage follow-up care for up to a year.

You will work closely with the Housing team to tailor interventions and advocate for clients, delivering compassionate, crisis-informed service within a collaborative nonprofit setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus three years’ homelessness experience; or Associate’s Degree plus five years.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Empathy to work with households experiencing homelessness; crisis intervention.
• Knowledge of issues facing homeless and chronically homeless populations.
• Ability to communicate with applicants, landlords, property managers, agencies and funding sources; strong computer skills; may public speak.
• Organized; able to manage multiple households simultaneously.
• Negotiation and mediation skills; maintain client files consistently.
• Willing to be a strong, diplomatic advocate for TVCCA Housing Programs.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain relationships with property owners and clientele to resolve housing crises quickly and sustainably.
• Follow-up case management and stabilization services for up to one year.
• Work with TVCCA Housing Programs to determine appropriate level of financial assistance.
• Coordinate housing searches, negotiations and referrals as needed.
• Collaborate with Housing team and community partners to support clients.
