Job summary

Mid-America Transplant in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Training & Development Specialist for Hospital Services to lead onboarding and ongoing education of staff, ensuring compliance and professional growth.

This role partners with hospital stakeholders to design and deliver role-specific training, assess learner performance, and maintain engaging learning environments using LMS and other tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in education, communications, business, healthcare, marketing or related field.
• Facilitation expertise in adult learning principles.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in training, education, customer engagement, sales, marketing or healthcare.
• Designing or delivering structured training programs, workshops or learning events.
• Understanding how performance, processes and engagement impact outcomes.
• Ability to adapt training to diverse audiences and learning styles.
• Comfort with data, feedback and continuous improvement approaches.
• DDI Guiding Principles and Interaction Essentials knowledge (preferred).
• A3 thinking experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate role specific onboarding programs for new hires, ensuring alignment with learning objectives.
• Conduct follow-up sessions with new hires and managers, providing feedback to reinforce skill development.
• Assess and evaluate learner performance through observation and knowledge checks; document outcomes in LMS.
• Create an inclusive, structured learning environment supporting adult learning principles.
• Facilitate learning with examples and discussions tied to real-life experiences.
• Ensure programs equip staff to collaborate with hospital stakeholders and drive improvements.
• Observe and engage field employees to enhance relationships and adherence to processes.
• Provide tools and resources (job aids, quick guides, talking points) for real-time performance.
• Coordinate donation awareness activities and onboarding for new staff with managers.
• Schedule quarterly staff development or education series.
• Document educational activities and outcomes in LMS, Salesforce or designated systems.
