Job summary

MASCO Services Call Center in Boston seeks Full-Time Answering Service Operators to handle calls for hospitals and medical practices across the United States. This contract-to-hire role is onsite, with second and swing shift options and defined days off; training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or equivalent
• Two or more years of call center experience
• Typing speed of 40 words per minute
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• A clear and professional speaking voice
• Ability to maintain a friendly and compassionate attitude while assisting emotional callers
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including rotating weekends and holidays
• Willingness to work in a temporary to regular employment situation
• Bilingual preferred but not required
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Handling 200-300 incoming calls per shift expediently, efficiently, and courteously using the prescribed phraseology.
• Processing calls for the Main Listed Number, Paging, Dispatch, and Answering Service.
• Responding to requests from staff regarding hospital staff after-hours.
• Update databases, schedules and directories.
• Maintaining the ability to multi-task and toggle between multiple screens seamlessly.
• Processing various “Emergency” calls in an accurate and timely manner.
• Responding to all telephone inquiries for patient information, which may include handling confidential information.
