Job summary

Duke HomeCare, Hospice and Infusion Services is seeking a PRN RN to provide professional nursing care in patients' homes or approved facilities across the Durham region. The role requires collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure high-quality, individualized care.

The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing, be licensed in North Carolina (or eligible for compact licensure), and have at least two years of med-surgical, critical care, or home

Qualifications

• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing is required.
• Current North Carolina RN license or Compact license.
• CPR certification (AHA) is required.
• Two years of med-surgical, critical care or home health/hospice/infusion experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the home or alternate site setting.
• Plan, supervise and document nursing care per policies and procedures.
• Assess patient education needs and coordinate discharge planning.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Maintain infection control and confidentiality of patient information.
• Travel to patient residences and document care.
