Job summary

GAP Solutions Inc. on behalf of the National Institutes of Health seeks a Grants Management Specialist to support NHLBI in reviewing, analyzing, processing, and coordinating grant‑related actions in Bethesda, MD. This position requires strong organizational skills and a thorough understanding of NIH policies.

You will engage with grantees and Federal staff, manage documentation, ensure compliance, and contribute to portfolio analytics and funding planning for NHLBI programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent specialized experience.
• Eight years of NIH grants management experience within the past three years.
• Experience with eRA IMPACII Grants Management Module.
• Ability to interpret and apply appropriate regulations, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triage competing and non-competing grant applications.
• Set work priorities and follow up to ensure required documentation is received.
• Review grant applications for bars to funding and policy concerns.
• Perform budget and regulatory analyses of grant applications.
• Prepare correspondence and coordinate with grantees and Federal staff.
• Assist in OGM supplements, funding, and portfolio analysis.
