Job summary

Allegan Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher to support students with IEPs at Allegan Elementary School. You will plan and deliver evidence-based instruction for Level 2 programming, monitor progress, and use data to drive IEP goals and supports.

Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and administrators to ensure access and progress across settings; participate in CPI training and maintain compliant records per district requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZG endorsement and Special Ed endorsement.
• Highly qualified as defined by MSDE.
• Experience with at-risk youth and trauma-informed practices.
• Tech literacy for specialized instruction & caseload management.
• Willingness to learn MTSS/PBIS.
• Desire to collaborate with peers and administration.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction aligned with IEPs for Level 2 programming.
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to meet diverse needs.
• Monitor progress and adjust instruction; develop data-driven IEPs and FBAs.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators; maintain records.
