Allegan Public Schools is seeking an Elementary Special Education Teacher (Level 2) to deliver IEP-aligned instruction for students with diverse needs. You will plan and apply evidence-based strategies, monitor progress, and participate in data-driven IEP development and behavioral supports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education required.
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with ZG endorsement and Special Education endorsements.
• Must be highly qualified as defined by the Michigan State Dept. of Education.
• Experience with at-risk youth; trauma-informed practices.
• Tech literacy for specialized instruction & caseload management.
• Willingness to learn MTSS/PBIS and collaborate with staff.

Responsabilités

• Deliver instruction aligned with IEPs for Level 2 programming.
• Use evidence-based strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Develop data-driven IEPs addressing student goals and supports.
• Co-develop and implement Positive Behavior Support Plans; assist with FBAs.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and staff.
• Lead IEP meetings and support teams to promote access and progress.
