Qualifications

• CDA credential (infant/toddlers or preschool) with 1,560 hours of experience in a licensed early childhood setting or public school system.
• AA degree in Early Childhood Education with 12 credits of education-related coursework and 1,040 hours experience in a licensed setting.
• BA/BS degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 credits of coursework and 1,040 hours experience.
• MA/MS degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with 12 credits of coursework and 1,040 hours experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist classroom staff with daily activities and classroom management.
• Support activities around concepts aligned with Creative Curriculum and children's interests.
• Maintain flexibility to let children's interests guide direction and lead some activities.
• Establish positive relationships with parents and maintain professional boundaries.
• Know medical conditions of children and respond appropriately.
• Discuss communications with parents in line with Data Privacy policy.
• Attend to children's hygiene, diapering, feeding, and weather-appropriate dressing.
• Take on additional duties as requested by staff or leadership.
• Maintain safe, clean environment and follow safety/sanitation policies.
• Ensure supervision of children at all times and respond to safety concerns.
