Job Summary
An Early Learning substitute provides essential classroom continuity by performing the duties of a Teacher or Assistant Teacher during the absence of regular staff. This role is responsible for maintaining the daily routine, implementing established activities, and ensuring a safe, productive learning environment for students.
Primary Responsibilities
- Execute day-to-day classroom responsibilities for students (Birth to Age 5) to ensure no disruption in learning or care.
- Exercise sound professional judgment to act in the best interests of student safety and well‑being at all times while maintaining compliance with DCYF Childcare Licensing and Minnesota Department of Health standards.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by program supervisors or administrators to support the center's daily operations.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience providing age‑appropriate care and education for children ages Birth to 5 years.
- Exceptional organizational skills and the flexibility to navigate the dynamic environment of a 4‑star Parent Aware and NAEYC‑accredited program.

Hours: Variable based on program needs and staff absences.
Compensation
$16.50 per hour
