Job summary

RHD is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for Behavioral Health Residential settings. You will support individuals with daily living, skills development, medication routines, and community engagement while providing positive role modeling in a compassionate team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid Delaware Driver’s License and driving record.
• Ability to meet organizational driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (hygiene, grooming, meals, laundry, housekeeping).
• Support development of independent living skills and personal responsibility.
• Assist with medication routines per agency policies.
• Encourage participation in community, recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Help individuals develop relationships and community connections.
• Provide guidance, supervision, and positive role modeling to build confidence and independence.
• Monitor for crisis signs and respond using approved interventions.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment.
• Observe and report changes in health.
• Complete accurate documentation per HIPAA and regulations.
• Collaborate with supervisors, nurses, clinicians, family, and team.
• Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
