Job summary

RHD is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our Behavioral Health Residential team. DSPs provide direct support to individuals with intellectual, developmental, and behavioral health challenges, helping them develop life skills and participate in their communities.

You will work with clinical and residential staff in a person-centered, recovery-oriented care approach, monitor wellbeing, assist with daily living, and respond calmly to crises.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Delaware Driver’s License.
• Minimum three (3) years of acceptable driving history.
• Ability to meet organizational driving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living (ADLs) including hygiene, meals, laundry, and routines.
• Support development of independent living skills.
• Assist with medication routines per agency policies and procedures.
• Promote healthy habits and personal responsibility.
• Encourage participation in community, recreational, educational, and social activities.
• Provide guidance to build confidence and life skills.
• Monitor for crisis signs and respond per approved interventions.
• Maintain a safe, clean residential environment.
• Complete accurate documentation of services provided.
