Job summary

Kahak Health Services is seeking a Community-Based Supports DSP in Idaho to help children with developmental disabilities participate in community activities and learn through guided exploration. You will support skills across communication, socialization, personal care, mobility, and leisure while ensuring safety and adherence to plans.

This role requires a driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and completion of competency coursework, plus CPR/First Aid certification and Idaho background

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Six months of supervised experience with children with developmental disabilities.
• Complete Department-approved competency coursework for Community-Based Supports.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Idaho criminal history/background check clearance.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Support the child's participation in planned community activities.
• Reinforce communication, social, personal care, mobility, and leisure skills.
• Assist with activities of daily living in natural community settings.
• Provide transportation to approved activities.
• Monitor safety and maintain a healthy environment for all.
• Document progress per each child's plan of service.
