Job summary

Kahak Health Services in Idaho is seeking a Community-Based Supports DSP to help children with developmental disabilities become more independent and integrated in their community, following each child's plan of service. You will reinforce daily living and communication skills, provide transportation, and document progress while ensuring safety and respecting the roles of family and school staff.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum of six months supervised experience with children who have developmental disabilities.
• Complete competency coursework for Community-Based Supports.
• Ability to provide services according to the plan of service.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Satisfactorily complete Idaho criminal history/background check.

Responsibilities

• Support the child's participation in community activities identified on their service plan.
• Reinforce communication, socialization, personal care, mobility and leisure skills.
• Assist with activities of daily living in natural community settings.
• Provide transportation to approved activities.
• Monitor safety and maintain a healthy, safe environment.
• Follow each child's plan and complete required progress notes for every visit.
