Job summary

Kahak Health Services in Idaho is seeking a Community-Based Supports DSP to assist children with developmental disabilities in their local community. You will help them participate in age-appropriate activities, reinforce communication and daily living skills, and support safe, engaging community involvement.

Responsibilities include following each child's plan of service, providing transportation when needed, and completing documentation after each visit.

Qualifications

At least six months of supervised experience with children who have developmental disabilities.
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Department-approved competency coursework for Community-Based Supports.
Ability to follow a child's plan of service and document progress.
Reliable vehicle, driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Background check clearance as required by Idaho standards.

Responsibilities

Support the child's participation in community activities identified on their plan of service.
Reinforce communication, socialization, personal care, mobility and leisure skills.
Assist with activities of daily living in natural community settings.
Provide transportation to approved activities as needed.
Monitor safety and maintain a healthy, safe environment.
Complete required program documentation after each visit.
