Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CPR/First Aid and Medication Management certification within 6 months of starting employment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to instruct persons with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assists program participants with developing strategies and following through on responsibilities.
• Encourages participants to achieve goals by developing programs based on preferences and needs.
• Provides information about community resources and helps with self-advocacy.
• Drives participants to appointments and activities.
• Ensures access to resources and coordinates them as needed.
• Performs ongoing assessments to identify needs and strengths.
• Maintains documentation and complies with guidelines and systems.
• Builds rapport through effective communication.
• Submits documentation in a timely manner.
• Provides crisis intervention as needed and adheres to reporting requirements.
• Maintains professional relationships with participants, families, co-workers, and agencies.
• Models Goodwill’s IMPACT values.
