Job summary

YAI in Northern Westchester is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) in Ossining, Peekskill, Pleasantville, and Yorktown Heights. DSPs provide daily living support, facilitate community participation, and help individuals achieve personal goals with person-centered care.

Positions are available across residential, day services, and community settings with flexible morning, evening, and weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Effective written and oral communication.
• Ability to assist with ADLs and daily living tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts.
• Interest in supporting people with I/DD.
• Must obtain SCIP-R within one year.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to maximize strengths and build relationships.
• Support personal goals and facilitate socializing in the community.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and report changes to leadership.
• Complete required trainings and maintain documentation in electronic records.
• Transport individuals to activities and manage basic meals and snacks.
