Job summary

Easterseals PORT Health in Hampstead, NC is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to empower individuals with IDD by helping with daily living tasks in homes and communities. You’ll support tasks such as housekeeping, meal prep, personal care, transportation, scheduling, and documentation in the health system.

This part-time, afternoon role offers paid training, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to grow within a compassionate, IDEAL-centered organization dedicated to improving quality

Qualifications

• Entry-level position with on-the-job training provided.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of basic housekeeping, basic nutrition, and safety protocols.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail and dependability essential.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home and community setting.
• Assist with daily living tasks including housekeeping, meals, personal care, and transportation support.
• Plan and organize client schedules and maintain daily documentation in health records.
• Support employment and community integration for clients.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.
