Job summary

REACH for Independence, Inc. seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to help individuals with developmental disabilities build skills and pursue personal goals. The role involves supporting independence, daily living, community activities, and meaningful work experiences.

No prior experience is required, and training is provided. Pay is $17.00 per hour with full-time and part-time opportunities and flexible scheduling based on program and individual needs.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older and able to read, write, understand directions.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED and CPR/First Aid certifications.
• Willing to complete required training and Core Competencies.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Have scheduling flexibility and a valid driver's license with good driving record.
• Reliable transportation and automobile liability insurance as required.

Responsibilities

• Teach and reinforce daily living, self-care, and independent living skills.
• Encourage communication, social interaction, and decision-making.
• Support individuals in community activities and personal goals.
• Provide personal care, lifting/repositioning when needed, and safety monitoring.
• Complete documentation in Therap, including timesheets and incident reports.
