Job summary

Lukos LLC seeks a Social Worker/Custody and Removal Coordinator to support ICE detainees at Estancia, NM. The role involves responding to detainee needs, coordinating services, and ensuring compliance with detention standards.

Strong communication and cultural competency are essential as is the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment. Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in social work or psychology and English proficiency; a master’s degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, or equivalent required.
• Master's degree or advanced degree preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with detainee requests and complaints.
• Support parent/child communication and child welfare issues.
• Coordinate disability accommodations with facilities and HQ.
• Facilitate adherence to policies and detention standards; communicate with detainees.
• Answer questions and provide information about available services.
• Refer detainees to appropriate staff for care and follow-up.
• Support vulnerable detainees with wellness checks and follow-ups.
• Meet newly detained individuals and provide orientation to CRC services.
• Support specialized housing units and programs for vulnerable populations.
• Provide language interpretation for facility staff and detainees.
• Help maintain facility safety and security.
• Assist with removal planning by researching resources and departure options.
• Assist with release planning including housing and healthcare arrangements.
• Develop and maintain a national resource database for CRC/ERO use.
