Job summary

One Purse, an Orlando, FL-based nonprofit, seeks an experienced Chief Operating Officer to translate vision into disciplined execution, align cross‑functional teams, and build scalable systems to enable growth. Report to the Founder & CEO, leading enterprise-wide operations from donor intake through resale and impact reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Seven to ten years of senior operational leadership experience as a COO, Integrator, VP of Operations, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to scale founder-led or entrepreneurial organizations into structured, accountable institutions.
• Strong KPI dashboard development, performance frameworks, and scalable processes.
• Excellent systems-thinking to align cross-functional teams and drive growth.
• High emotional maturity and leadership of mission-driven professionals.
• Financial literacy with budget oversight and data-driven decision-making.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience with multi-channel e-commerce, logistics, product-based operations, or warehouse management preferred.
• Familiarity with EOS or similar management frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Provide enterprise-wide operational leadership aligning revenue, donor engagement, programs, and e-commerce into a unified model.
• Oversee end-to-end operational workflows from donor intake to resale, fulfillment, and impact reporting.
• Align cross-functional teams, build systems and accountability structures, identify gaps causing delays or compliance risk.
• Lead quarterly and annual planning; run weekly leadership meetings; drive disciplined execution with high completion rates.
• Establish KPI dashboards creating transparency across functions and reduce project cycle time.
• Clarify roles, decision-making, and accountability to support effective execution.
• Ensure strategic priorities, financial performance, and initiatives are properly sequenced and resourced.
• Provide coaching to Directors and senior staff to strengthen leadership and ownership.
• Nurture a healthy culture reflecting organizational values across staff, contractors and volunteers.
• Partner with CEO and finance to manage budget, reporting, and forecasting as needed.
• Support shift toward increased earned revenue by building scalable operational foundations.
• Serve as operational lens on legal compliance ensuring contracts and processes meet requirements.
