Job summary

ACTION-Housing, Inc. is seeking a dynamic Chief Operating Officer to lead operations, scale organizational capacity, and deepen impact in delivering affordable housing solutions.

Reporting to the CEO, the COO will refine systems, oversee strategic initiatives, and manage staff to ensure high performance, fiscal accountability, and mission alignment across the agency. The successful candidate will collaborate with the Executive Leadership Team, oversee facilities, technology, and program support,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, public policy, urban planning, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 7–10 years of senior management in nonprofit or related sectors.
• Experience in affordable housing, project management or property management.
• Familiarity with regulations, funding and compliance in affordable housing.

Responsibilities

• Lead executive leadership with CEO and Board; set strategic priorities.
• Provide mentorship and develop department leaders for high performance.
• Oversee four program areas; ensure alignment with mission and priorities.
• Drive organizational capacity building and process improvements across the agency.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and allocate resources to meet goals.
