Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Part-Time Program Specialist, Community-Based to support families in enrolling in BBBSMT programs. The role emphasizes intake, match-day facilitation, and careful data management, with training across program functions.

The position requires strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, and will operate in a hybrid model with some on-site time in Nashville, TN.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience, client-facing or phone support preferred.
• Experience working with youth, families, volunteers, or community programs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to build trust across diverse groups.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).
• Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Screen eligibility and conduct intake calls for prospective families.
• Coordinate safety training for parents and caregivers.
• Schedule orientations and enrollment interviews.
• Document enrollment information and maintain up-to-date records.
• Conduct 6-month and annual enrollment updates for youth and families awaiting matches.
• Participate in match days to support new relationships.
• Cross-train in match support and family interviews as needed.
• Deliver high-quality customer service throughout enrollment.
