Job summary

Camelot Community Care is seeking a dedicated Child Welfare Case Manager in Florida. The role involves working within a cooperative team to support children and families, maintain case files, and comply with court-related responsibilities.

You will engage with supervisory staff and community resources to ensure safe, permanency-focused outcomes. Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, 1 year of applicable experience, and ongoing certification/clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Social Work or other related human service field.
• One year of relevant social services experience working with children and families.
• Ability to obtain Child Welfare Certification and pass background screening.
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities

• Participates in staff development opportunities and maintains child welfare certification.
• Backs up other team members and assists on cases as a cooperative unit member.
• Maintains relationships with supervisory staff and community resource providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Establishes relationships with children and families, focusing on permanency and safety.
• Completes case notes accurately and timely in the required data system.
• Prepares for and attends court activities, including hearings and relevant proceedings.
• Performs judicial reviews, assessments, and reports within policy timelines.
• Conducts monthly face-to-face contacts with children, parents, and relatives.
• Makes referrals for services and arranges emergency placements when needed.
• Plans and facilitates visits between children in care and their families.
