State of Maine is seeking a Human Services Enforcement Agent in Portland to locate non-custodial parents, enforce and collect child support, and establish paternity. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or related field, with pre-employment screenings and potential travel.

Position offers partial telework after year one with management approval; salary range is $25.82–$31.50 per hour, with full benefits under DHHS.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business or Public Administration, or a related field.
• Directly related paraprofessional or higher level experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
• Pre-employment screening including verification of minimum qualifications, employment history, and references.

Responsabilidades

• Investigative services work locating non-custodial parents.
• Establishing, enforcing, and collecting child support obligations.
• Establishing the paternity of children born out of wedlock.
• Enforcement actions through administrative collection.
• Representing the Department’s interest in Maine District Court in child support matters.
