Job summary

The State of South Carolina Department of Social Services is seeking a Child Support Services support specialist to perform administrative duties for the Employment Services Unit and to input data into the State Directory of New Hires. You will serve as a liaison for the State Disbursement Unit and help troubleshoot New Hire Reporting issues.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of computer system support experience; an Associate degree or higher may substitute for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and 1 year of experience in computer system support.
• Associate Degree or higher in computer science or related field may substitute for required work experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs general administrative duties for the Employment Services Unit in the Child Support Services Division.
• Keys new hire data into State Directory of New Hires.
• Acts as liaison for the State Disbursement Unit in customer service.
• Troubleshoots user issues for the New Hire Reporting Program.
• Protects PIIs and safeguards agency networks and data during interactions with clients and colleagues.
• Performs Red Cross shelter duties or other emergency shelter tasks as directed.
• Performs related duties as required.

Education

High School Diploma + 1 year computer system support

Associate degree or higher in computer science or related field
