Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety in Cottonwood, Arizona is hiring for a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist. The role involves working on-site full-time, responding to allegations of abuse or neglect, interviewing families, and coordinating services to ensure child safety throughout the home and community.

The position requires a degree (or 4 years as a DCS Case Aide), a valid driver’s license, and the ability to obtain a DPS Fingerprint Clearance Card.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree earned from an accredited institution; OR 4 years as a DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory 39 month driving record.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Complete the 22 weeks of in-person classroom and field training program.

Responsibilities

• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in their homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs; manage cases throughout your region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
