Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) in Safford, AZ seeks a Case Manager/Child Safety Specialist to respond to allegations, interview families, assess safety, and coordinate services in the field.

You will work full-time on-site, travel within the region, attend court hearings, and develop case plans while partnering with courts and providers to safeguard children and support families. Training is provided with step pay progression.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree as described, or 4 years as DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to obtain DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time, 40 hours a week on-site; alternative hours may be required.
• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in their homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Manage cases throughout your assigned region.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
