Job summary

Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is hiring Case Managers/Child Safety Specialists for Show Low and Winslow, AZ. The role is full-time, on-site, with a 40-hour workweek and potential alternative hours.

You will respond to abuse/neglect allegations, interview families, assess safety, coordinate services, attend court, and transport children. Starting pay is $21.7068/hour with step increases after training and years of service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or 4 years as an AZ DCS Case Aide.
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory 39 month driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Work history, Central Registry and Public Record will be considered.
• Complete the 22-week training program successfully.

Responsibilities

• Work full-time, 40 hours/week on-site/in field; some hours may vary.
• Respond to allegations of child abuse or neglect.
• Conduct interviews and assess child safety.
• Work with families in homes and in the community.
• Coordinate services and develop case plans.
• Attend court hearings and prepare professional reports.
• Transport children and support placement needs.
• Collaborate with courts, providers, and partner agencies.
