Job summary

Telecare Corporation in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a Case Manager Substance Use Counselor for mental health support. You will serve as the primary case manager for individuals with mental illness, focusing on substance abuse and helping clients live independently in their community.

Full-time, on-site with a 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM shift, pay range $27.85–$34.42 per hour. Telecare applies geographic differentials; starting pay reflects experience above minimum requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED and one year experience in a treatment environment for mental health and drug and alcohol issues.
• Authorized to bill for drug medical programs and learn billing codes within 2 months of employment.
• Must be credentialed as a qualified mental health professional where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary support and case manager for individuals with mental illness, focusing on substance abuse and addictions.
• Assist clients to live as independently as possible in their chosen community.
• Engage clients to connect with ongoing substance and/or mental health services and coordinate warm hand-offs.
