Job summary

Anixter Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Building & Maintenance Tech Level 3 to perform day-to-day maintenance across assigned properties. You will handle HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, and general repairs while ensuring safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong problem-solving, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with travel across the Chicagoland area by vehicle.

Qualifications

• Experience completing day-to-day maintenance tasks (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting).
• Ability to respond to maintenance requests promptly.
• Ability to coordinate vendor deliveries and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Complete day-to-day helpdesk tickets across building systems.
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinate deliveries from vendors.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance on equipment and properties.
• Prioritize and schedule maintenance work to Anixter Center standards.
• Address safety/risk-management issues at the property.
