This role supports the health and safety of employees, residents, and program users and requires problem-solving and timely execution. Schedule: Monday - Tuesday 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. Part-time hours; travel across Chicagoland; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, door repair; respond to requests promptly; ensure safety

Formación

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow health & safety policies.

Responsabilidades

• Handle day-to-day tickets for maintenance requests including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and schedule work to ensure quality and warranty compliance.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and use of PPE at all times.

Salary Range: $24.00 To $28.00 Hourly

SUMMARY

The Building Maintenance and Operations Tech 2 completes day-to-day helpdesk tickets and preventative maintenance procedures at the properties, ensuring the longevity of our assets and the health and safety of our employees, residents, and program users. This role demands problem solving skills, subject matter expertise and follow through as well as the ability to work in a varied and fast paced environment.

Schedule: Monday - Tuesday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Complete day-to-day helpdesk tickets including but not limited to heating, ventilating, air conditioning (HVAC); plumbing and piping; minor electrical repairs, appliance repairs; furniture repairs; Lock and Door Repair, Painting and Drywall and general building maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Responding to assigned maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Coordinating deliveries from vendors and suppliers
• Complete Preventative Maintenance Tickets for our equipment and properties
• Prioritize, schedule and complete maintenance work, assuring quality of work consistent with Anixter Center standards.
• Ensure all emergency, routine maintenance/repairs are carried out in a timely and professional manner.
• Respond promptly and effectively to all safety/risk-management-related issues at the property.
• Ensure proper maintenance of equipment to ensure warranty compliance and extend its useful life.
• Ensure proper safety procedures are followed, personal protective equipment is used, and health & safety policies are enforced.

Physical Demands:

This position may require periods of standing, walking, sitting, reaching, bending, and working at various heights. The role may occasionally involve lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds with or without assistance. Tasks may require the use of standard hand tools and equipment. Work Environment:
