Job summary

Anixter Center in Chicago, IL is seeking a Building Maintenance & Operations Tech II to perform day-to-day helpdesk tickets and preventative maintenance across properties. This role supports the health and safety of employees, residents, and program users and requires problem-solving and timely execution. Schedule: Monday - Tuesday 8:00 a.m.

- 5:00 p.m. Part-time hours; travel across Chicagoland; HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, door repair; respond to requests promptly; ensure safety

Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC, plumbing and electrical repairs.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and general building repairs.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow health & safety policies.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day tickets for maintenance requests including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance, and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors.
• Complete preventative maintenance tasks and schedule work to ensure quality and warranty compliance.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and use of PPE at all times.
