Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to join the Controls Product Management team. You will bridge development and field operations, acting as the primary liaison for technical issues and translating field feedback into actionable requirements.

You will drive field outreach, author high-impact literature, lead training initiatives, and manage the product enhancement pipeline to elevate customer experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with 3–5+ years in HVAC/building automation.
• Strong knowledge of BAS, control sequences, IT networks, and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IoT).
• Ability to translate field requests into engineering requirements.
• Excellent written communication for technical literature and user guides.
• Experience designing and delivering technical training curricula.
• Collaborative problem-solving between software/hardware teams and customers.

Responsibilities

• Product Expertise & Field Support: serve as the technical expert on building controls products for field offices, sales channels, and customers.
• Enhancement Pipeline Management: own and prioritize the product enhancement and feature requests.
• Literature & Documentation Development: author and maintain installation manuals, catalogs, guides, and specifications.
• Training & Knowledge Transfer: design and deliver technical training programs and demonstrations.
• NPI & Field Outreach: lead pilot testing and field outreach during new product introductions.
• Sustaining Engineering Liaison: monitor field quality and coordinate rapid resolution with engineering and QA teams.
