Job summary
Trane Technologies is seeking an experienced Product Engineer to serve as the technical expert for our building controls portfolio. You will bridge development teams and the field, driving field outreach, authoring high-impact literature, and leading product training initiatives to continuously elevate customer experience.
You will translate field feedback into actionable engineering requirements, ensure field offices are equipped, and manage the product enhancement pipeline in collaboration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of BAS, control sequences, IT networks and protocols (BACnet, Modbus, IoT).
- Experience translating field needs into engineering requirements and technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the definitive technical expert on assigned building controls products.
- Own and prioritize the product enhancement and feature request pipeline.
- Author, review, and maintain technical literature and manuals.
- Design and deliver technical training programs and product demonstrations.
- Lead pilot testing with NPI phases and field outreach.
- Monitor field quality and coordinate rapid resolution with engineering teams.
